Visiting Assistant Professor & Sustainability Coordinator Undergraduate School of Architecture
In Cho is a Visiting Assistant Professor and the Sustainability Coordinator for Undergraduate Architecture at Pratt Institute. She holds a B.A. in French Literature from NYU and an M.Arch from Columbia University. A Registered Architect in NY, NJ, and CT, In is also an internationally Certified Passive House Designer and a leader in sustainable architecture and education. She co-founded ChoShields Studio, an architectural practice dedicated to fostering social and environmental resilience by creating healthy, beautiful, and enjoyable spaces where people can live, work, and gather together. In's work spans low-carbon architectural design, environmental education, and policy advocacy. She has made significant contributions to sustainability, advising on the NYC Energy Conservation Code, training AEC professionals in Passive House principles for reducing carbon emissions while enhancing comfort and resilience, and lecturing globally on her projects and transformative education. Her initiatives reach a diverse audience, from industry professionals to youth. In also co-founded the non-profit Passive House for Everyone! (PHFE), which equips youth with the knowledge, skills, and inspiration to transform complex ideas about environmental challenges into creative solutions for Climate Action. Through PHFE, she strives to empower everyone to make a positive impact on the environment, working together to ensure a thriving and equitable world for all.
