Fabio Lima

M.S. Historic Preservation, Pratt Institute
Fabio Lima (he/him) is a historic preservation graduate student (MS HP '26) concurrently pursuing an advanced certificate in media studies at Pratt Institute. His work explores the entanglement of social, political and material histories of space by employing the tools of historic preservation. He has previously worked as an architectural designer in Montreal and, most recently, as a research associate for the NYC LGBTQ Historic Sites Project. In 2025, he received the J. B. C. Watkins Award in Architecture and a Venice Architecture Biennale Fellowship with the Canada Pavilion. Fabio studied architecture at the Université de Montréal in Québec. His work has been supported by the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts, and the Canada Council for the Arts.
