Bhavini Kapur

Planning Analyst, Urbane Development
Bhavini Kapur is an urban planner and architect who bridges technical planning and design expertise with inclusive community engagement and place-based development. Her work is grounded in a commitment to building community assets and advancing alternative industries that support decarbonization and regenerative economies. She is currently a Planning Analyst at Urbane Development, where she helps design and implement community wealth-building strategies rooted in equitable infrastructure and the clean energy transition. She also serves as a researcher with the Pratt Decarbonization Group, promoting the use of locally sourced biomaterials in New York State’s construction and manufacturing sectors. She holds a Master of Science in City and Regional Planning from Pratt Institute, where she received the inaugural William ‘Bill’ Menking Travel Scholarship and the 2024 Commitment to the Profession Award. She earned her Bachelor of Architecture from the School of Planning and Architecture in New Delhi, India.
