Graphic Design Fellow
Sarena Yadev is a Made in NYC and Pratt Center Graphic Design Fellow. Sarena will be working on design, editorial, and communication projects for the Pratt Center, as well as Made in NYC, where she will help tell the stories of local manufacturers, makers, and creative businesses across New York City. She is excited to explore how design can represent these businesses and translate their work, stories, and identities into accessible, engaging, and thoughtful visual communication across different platforms. Sarena’s journey into design began with a science background, which taught her to approach problems with curiosity and structure. Later, Sarena did her bachelors in Communication Design, and a minor in Product Design, and spent two years working across design, branding, and visual communication. Wanting to explore her practice further, she is here in New York City to pursue her MFA in Communication Design at Pratt Institute. Sarena is a designer and artist driven by curiosity, always exploring new tools, mediums, and ideas. She approaches design as a balance of aesthetics, storytelling, and functionality, and believes that design should not just be seen, but experienced—where interaction, engagement, and memory come together. She loves adventure and traveling (enough happens as she comes from Staten Island, which always shocks people and she questions why). She promises she’ll move out soon to Brooklyn. Sarena also love films, reading, art, and photography. She photographs almost anything that catches her eye. She is always down for a new experience, a creative experiment, or discovering something she hasn’t seen or experienced before!
Websites are invisible consumers of energy, and crisp, clear images consume the most. By default, our images load in low resolution to lighten our website's energy load. To see an image in full resolution, or to toggle between lo- and hi-res modes, click the icon at the top right hand corner.
Bypass lo-res images altogether by selecting “Load All Full-Res” here or in the footer of any page on the site.
