Interested in reducing his carbon footprint and saving money in the long run, homeowner David Selig contacted Rob Ashmore of Aeon Solar Inc., a solar photovoltaic installer. Aeon installed a 5kW solar panel array on the roof paid for with the help of the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) PV incentives. After a year of planning from start to finish, 100 percent of electricity in the row house is being supplied by the sun.
