What Is NYSERDA?

New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) is a public benefit corporation that helps New York meet its energy goals: reducing energy consumption, promoting the use of renewable energy sources, and protecting the environment.

What Is Energy $mart Communities?

The New York Energy $mart Communities (E$C) Program based at Pratt engages the residents, building owners, organizations and businesses of Brooklyn and Queens in activities to reduce their energy use and facilitates access to the financial incentives provided by NYSERDA. 

Pratt Center is pleased to introduce our new Coordinators for the NYSERDA Energy $mart Communities program in Brooklyn and Queens, Jay-E Emmingham and Gita Subramony. Please contact us for workshops, assistance or events in your Brooklyn or Queens Community!

Who We Help

While the Pratt Center's Energy $mart Communities program focuses on Brooklyn and Queens, our web resource, Retrofit NYC, is available to all households and organizations in New York seeking to reduce their energy use. See our resources for:
