BPI AC and Heat Pump Professional Class

This three-day course is designed for experienced heating contractors.  The training, which consists of both classroom and field experience, will help prepare participants for the Building Performance Institute's Cooling Professional online and field exams.

Topics covered: Health & Safety; Tools, Euipment, Materials; Refrigerant Cycles; Heat Pump Principles; Comfort/Thermal Performances Issues (Cause and Effect); AC & Heat Pump Control Strategies; Load and Sizing; Duct Repair & Sealing; Pressure Balancing; AC Clean & Tune.

Prerequisities: Building Analyst Training/Certification; Heating Professional Training/Certification; EPA Section 608 Certification.

Classroom Sessions:

  • 3/21 (9 a.m. - 5 p.m.)
  • 3/22 (9 a.m. - 5 p.m.)

Field Sessions:

  • 3/23 (9 a.m. -5 p.m.)

OPTIONAL BPI Online Exam:

  • 3/24 (10 a.m.-2 p.m.)
